Buckingham Friends School
Delran Builders completed the construction of a new building addition, a new driveway entrance and parking lot, and renovation of the existing school building at Buckingham Friends School.
The new building addition, approximately 7080 sq. ft., tied into the existing school building and created a new Main Lobby entrance for the school. The new building included a new Science Resource Center, a Library, two classrooms with project rooms, restrooms, and student locker space. Outside the building, a new outdoor classroom area was created.
The renovation of the existing school building (approximately 11,000 sq. ft.) was a full gut rehab type renovation.
The building renovation had to be done in phases to allow the school to move from old areas to new areas during the school year. One of the biggest challenges was installing a new geo-thermal heating system. This system required boring twenty 250’ deep wells in the school’s existing ball field which is used everyday for various activities.
