Best Western Hotel, King of Prussia
Delran Builders has for years helped RWK Enterprises with all of their construction endeavors. So, it was no surprise when they selected Delran to undertake their most ambitious project to date. This job involved the complete demolition of four existing buildings and all of the associated utilities. Re-routing these utilities to remain in service for the other areas of the complex was no small task.
The new work consisted of a four-story, 65,000 sq. ft. building which included 68 new guestrooms, a commercial laundry room, an employee lounge and offices, an employee locker room, a maintenance shop, MEP rooms, conference rooms, board rooms, banquet rooms, media room, and elevators. The new structure connected to the existing buildings via a new link bridge which was completely enclosed.
All mechanical services were either new or upgraded as part of the scope. Logistically, this project was challenging as the remaining portions of the hotel remained operational while this work was being undertaken. Scheduling and coordination between all aspects of the project team was crucial to its success.
